Woodside Village Ferry Terminal to Food Hall

We were initially appointed through our sister company PLYable design to develop a range of robust, affordable furniture solutions for a food hall. The Grade II listed existing building required considerable internal alterations to accommodate the change from underused ferry terminal to popular food hall, and EDable Architecture were subsequently appointed to negotiate the various permissions needed. The bold, mostly internal, design was developed with an incredibly modest budget for the CIC client to provide maximum impact for minimal spend. Now open the project has transformed the much loved but previously underused local landmark into a vibrant and cosmopolitan food hall showcasing local food culture.

We believe that values of a place should be enshrined into the design and that those are values can be distilled into a place identity. We regularly work with Droid Creative on our projects to develop engaging brands, which both inform and is informed by the architecture. Here we helped our client develop a new name, logo, and brand concept.
